According to Dr. Allen – Director of the Healthy Buildings program at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, the building could be a place to spread the disease such as measles or even the new corona virus. The details was mentioned in an article published on The New York Times.
The article also shows that if a ventilation system of a building is under a poor management, the disease or virus could have a chance to be transmitted.
